Don't know him, have no clue - so many now who spring Social Media circles as players with a pitch...... but....it's sad. Real sad.

Prayers and condolences to those who loved him.

Big Circle is a wild ride.........hang on, pray and love..........life is a test.

    Don't fail the TEST!

He was an icon and a pioneer in the light weight mount-hunting gear. Sad deal for his loved ones, especially the two young kids.

I heard that he took his life and his son found him. This was from someone who knows the family. Not stating this as fact though.

Is there any confirmation on the cause of death?

Still just speculation but the masses are leaning towards suicide.

Thought it was just an accident on the mountain, guess thats why there was the CTE mention, just terrible.

In this link from a story and CNBC news interview in 2016, Hairston notes that as a linebacker in the NFL he often led with his head and that he had all the symptoms of CTE.

Quoting the rest of the Rokslide post beyond the link:

"I played linebacker, and the way I played the game, I led with my head. I played the way they tell us not to play now," he said. "I have all the symptoms of CTE."

Hairston said he has been very proactive about dealing with his symptoms by cooperating with multiple studies on the disease across the country.

                      --------------

                      Common symptoms of CTE:

                      Suicidal thoughts
Forgetting names, people, things (like dementia)
                      Uncontrollable rage
                      Irritability
                      Refusal to eat or talk
Sufferers and their families have described them turning into 'ghosts'.

Tragic. I have not met him but Shaun who heads his product development showed me how to adjust my Icon pack/frame to carry meat bags on the tailgate of my pickup in their parking lot. Jason was out of town.

CTE must be a million times worse than reported. This guy was seemingly on top of the world. Unfathomable.

So sad for his children. I hate that he suffered in his own mind, but he's unintentionally passed that suffering on to two small children. My heart breaks for and my prayers are with his family. May God hold them close and give them comfort.

At least do it where the kids wouldn’t see it.
