Thanks folks. Hoping to get the plumbing hooked up this coming weekend. I'm ready to relax for a day or two! Driving this desk for the last 10 years is killing my stamina.
Had a busy fri/sat. Got some more paneling done, finished the insulation that required cutting/fitting, dug up the septic lines and water line to get ready for plumbing. Had some great help from StanR and BWSSR (stan and bruce) it getting the paneling for the bathroom ready to go so the we could install after the water lines and drains were finished. Plumber came out Saturday afternoon and got the sink/vanity put in and the toilet. Gotta come back to finish the shower at a later date. A few pics.
I have looked at this thread from time to time when it was on the " front page " and almost always went to the latest posts, but today, after moving my tractor, disc and seeder to Trinity Co., I had a perfect opportunity to read it all the way through. While hooking up to my gooseneck to move my backhoe, I slipped off the one-ton and twisted my knee and left foot, so I'm in the recliner with two icepacks on. Like I said, a perfect opportunity !
Reading about the progress of a working guy upgrading his castle on the weekends ! I did much the same on a lease I had for 18 years, except when I gave up the lease, I also gave up my cabin. There is nothing like owning your own land, 26 acres or 2600 ! More power to you Bobby !
