    .300 Blackout Ammo

I just ordered all the parts for a 8.5” .300 Blackout Pistol. What bullet are y’all shooting for hunting. I’ll mainly be using it for pigs with occasional coyote and deer.

    Thanks, Kanyon.

My daughter used the 120gr Barnes Tac-TX this year. They'll group around one inch at 100 yards out of my 16" barrel. She took three deer with it this year.
One deer ran 40 yards and tipped over, the other two were dead before they hit the ground.

Do these penetrate enough for deer and hogs? Does the lower velocity keep the bullet from expanding so violently like other calibers with varmint bullets?

If you are talking about ammo and not just bullets for reloading, then I would bet the Barnes Vor-Tx Ammo from Academy, Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc....

I have had great success on deer with them out of an AR. They expand well and hold together on side double lung shots. I have never shot a hog with one.

I used 120 gr Remington ammo from Academy and shot a spike at about 120 yards just as a test. Dropped him in his tracks.
