I love a long holiday weekend, but I didn't get back in front of the computer in time to meet the deadline. Just for grins, this would have been my entry...



A screen door in Warrenton. Doesn't keep many flies or mosquitoes out, but no chickens are allowed beyond this point.

Under normal circumstances I would try my best to give you all my feedback on your shots, but I am a little pressed for time. I can say however, that once again I am very impressed with everyone's shots. It's hard to judge, but was able to narrow it down & it was a close one with OPC Patrick and AtTheWall (if submitted on time), but the winner to this contest goes to jc207. Congrats on your capture! Thanks for the compliments every and I'm very surprised that I even got a shot that was that good. I took thousands of photos of these bees one weekend. Trying to get the bees and myself to sit still long enough to make it happen was very hard to do. I will get the EXIF when I get home as I'm on another computer right now at work. I used a Tamron 70-300 and really never thought I would get that quality out of it. Photo was taken hand held without a tripod so you could just imagine how many photos I took.
