Not the best CFS (not bad, though), but maybe the best CFS Deal.

If you order CFS at Trudy's in Austin and ask for it "Hondo Style" they will increase the meal price by $1 and give you a second full serving of CFS and one more side.

I love CFS and there are still some great ones being served. There is a cafe in Santa Anna called MA's that has a **** good CFS. I never cared for the one at Mary's.

Not a traditional CFS, but the chicken fried short rib at Jack Allen's Kitchen in Austin and Round Rock is awesome!

They take a big beef double short rib (one rib bone, one full piece of meat on each side), braise it tender, then batter and chicken fry it. It will put you to sleep in the booth with a smile on you face.

Price is good for how much volume and flavor you get.

Now I better go try this. Sounds good.

CHICKEN FRIED RIBEYE at the Cattle Exchange in Canadian, Tx. Hands down. Its my favorite meal. Tender as can be.

My favorite chicken fried steak ever was at Tip Top in San Antonio. That thing was stupid good, as were their onion rings.

Sweetie Pies isn't bad.
But Ponder Steakhouse, hands down the better CFS.
