Hoist and basket

Well that was my original plan. But I wasn’t sure that it would work being the close proximity from winch and hoist. I thought the winding and unwinding of the winch would be an issue because of the side to side movement of winch cable. So would I place a pulley near the bottom?

Nope, just at the top by the corner brace and your change of direction going down. You could probably get away with just the one

Boat winch will work perfect and prolly be faster. That's an awesome job! If using the winch on the jeep you'd have to fab in a roller for the cable moving side to side. This way, it can be used on the back or on another vehicle or taken off easier. Great job!

Could use the truck winch to center the beast onto basket .
