Anyone ever stain concrete?

We did it to our kitchen. It took me a month to remove the old tile and the old grout. A lot of back breaking work with a jack hammer. Did all the preprep and stain with a clear coat. It was nice for a while, but it easily streaks. Not happy at all. We're going to cover it back up with tile. Definitely have a professional do it.

Staining over a broomed finish just does not look that great to me, you will not get all the modeling that you get in a hard troweled finish. But a hard finish is slick as owl poop when wet. An outside patio is pretty easy to do, much easier than going inside the house, like Raider said, the Kemico brand is good and there are several how to videos on you tube, post pics when done, good luck.
