Shooting from an elevated position is part of my regular practice routine. I practice sitting, kneeling and standing from the ground. I practice shooting from an elevated position from sitting as well as standing. Most of my deer hunting is from ladder stands 15-20 feet up.

It'll be here before you know it Phillip! Hows the new bow tuning up?

It's shooting the wood arrows I shoot in my 45# Brush Wolf quite well. It seems like I'm going to be able to trade off between the 2 bows with minimal impact on my shooting.

A buddy of mine was in a brush blind and was filming. He had a big sow come nose to nose (actually about 3 feet away). He had the wind in his favor and it took her a little while to snap on him being there. When she finally realized what he was she just "woofed" and did a 180 and hauled it out of there. I think I will stay in the trees.
                  Good luck on your hunt!

Yes I can! Both of us had eyes like saucers. The bear spray can looks like it has a pistol grip now, but I'm proud to say I did not spray him. I waited till he got out of the tree, then I shot him!

                          Good luck Phillip!

One week till I pull out headed north. I'm not real satisfied with my shooting. Seems like I haven't got back to the level I was at prior to my surgery 2 years ago. Here's a couple groups. Not my best groups but not my worst either. These are 5 shot groups with an arrow from 10yds, 13 yds, 16 yds, 19 yds, and 22 yds, one of the arrows being shot from a sitting position.

That shooting should get it done.

Just remember a bear's vitals are set similar to a pigs. Low and forward. However the hide and none structure is fairly light like a whitetail.
