I got mine a big pot for stews and chili that she wanted. Then we leave the day after Christmas for a few days in the mountains.

Ok so maybe someone knows of this ?
A quiet getaway in hill country or somewhere within couple hrs of DFW.
Not fan of East Tx too much.
Too many pines lol.
Doesn’t have to have a winery or distillery.
Maybe wildlife around a cabin for viewing purposes only of course!
I want her to enjoy herself but don’t want to be in misery myself .

My wife and I went to Hideaway Ranch around Glen Rose a couple years ago. They have private cabins some with hot tubs. There’s a restaurant on site as well. No high falootin restaurant but decent dinner and good breakfast.
