So far, yes... We shall see how she develops. Not sure it will work well with the new axle and springs, and if not, we will weld it solid.

Strong and light-weight, especially when welded together.

          Quad trailer build #3

My bro Denver has been busy. He is doing this build pretty much solo. I'm moral support on this one!

Here are the slipper springs I acquired from a trailer shops salvage parts lot.

Last night I was able to cut and tack together the expanded metal floor and side.

I also started to weld in the hitch and tongue support. I plan on tacking in all the supports that it needs to strengthen the tongue and then weld it all up.

Coming together nicely. I have one of these type trailers as a starting point. Getting tons of ideas.

That looks great. I've really got the itch to build one.

Current progress. I was able Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon to finish welding the tongue and hitch up.

I was able to keep the dump bed latch operational.

I welded in the spring hangers and boxed in the frame where each hanger attached to the frame for extra support.

I finished welding all the expanded metal in the bed and side rails. The trailer is now completely welded and ground down and ready for axle, paint, and then wheels.

Tires I acquired for the trailer. They are 23/11/10.
