Chevy S10 or Ford Ranger?

I had a 2000 Ranger with 4 cyl and auto tranny. Was a great truck for me and taught 2 girls to drive it. They drove it all during high school.

This makes me miss my old ranger. I could take that thing places alot of 4x4's couldn't go and it was 2 wheel drive. If I could afford another, i'd get one.

Chevy S10 or Ford Ranger?

I’m a Chevy guy (full size anyway) and I’d buy the Ranger.

Bought my kid one for her first car. We took a road trip to Ca in it and then she beat it up for 3 years.
Had 130,000 on it when I bought it. She has a new car but her friend that bought the ranger is still driving it with over 200,000 on it.
Had an s10 work truck for awhile
Everything about it sucked


If Tacoma was one of the choices that’s what I would’ve chosen, but they hold their resale really well

Sorry just saw this post. I got 15 city/18 highway in both 4.3 V6 S-10's I had. I got 17/21 average in my last Silverado. I think I got 20 once in the S-10 on a road trip. This was back in PA in the Allegheny mountains so maybe better out here?

had a ranger, never and issue other than fuel gauge , trying to justify just having one. miss mine

The older model S-10's are better. I believe you can drop a 350 engine in them. The newer trucks I would go Ranger.

Ranger 3.0 v6 is a dog. Pops has one and it makes lots of noise, but aint quick or strong. I'd go with the bigger v6.
