I was gonna shoot this in the morning but I shot like I've never held a bow before today. I guess spending the last three days down with a virus threw something off.
Well I got it done this morning. My hunting rain gear is packed away in a scent free tote so my truck Frogg Togg will have to do. I shot both arrows soaked. First shot was ugly. Second shot (was actually low) was what I expect of myself. Two and a half on the first and three eighths on the second. Total of two and seven eighths. Subtract two half inch deductions for wet fetching and my total is one and seven eighths.
I really don't think the fletchings being wet affected to much except weight and FOC as my set up is spined fairly well.
Last night I checked my brace height and it was a quarter inch low. I've been shooting in a new string but thought I had it settled in. I hope that makes my shooting a little more consistent than yesterday.
Posting live from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.
Great shooting, DRT!! Really got in the spirit of the challenge with rain gear and 2 wet arrows. Looks like Rick is holding on to the lead by a 1/16- inch margin.
