Lake Mexia has gators. Years ago there was one in the Rio Grande at Terlingua. The local paper had an article about it and it was believed it came from a zoo in Ojinaga.

There are some huge gators there. A buddy and I helped an older man that had fallen out of his boat get back in. There were four over 10 feet closing in. Saw a giant one over the spillway on the south end.

Matagorda county is full of gators. I have seen mutiple gator in the ICW, and even in east bay. Dont even get me started talking about Lake Austin and the boggy area.

Choke Canyon is defiantly infested with them. Me and TimmyG on here counted around 20 from the lake up the river channel to the san miguel creek in one day. I know it was also a state record holder at 14' 3" 800lbs, not sure if that record still stands or not though.
