I don’t know anything about Ma Ferguson so forgive me for asking but what was so bad about her?
While she ran the state, a lot of folks were sure her crooked husband who was governor of Texas as well before her was pulling the strings.
And like it alluded too in the movie she was pardoning criminals left and right and disbanded the rangers as she thought they weren’t relevant in modern times.
While not our independence or Wild West history it was a very interesting time in Texas

So I really enjoyed this movie. Even at over two hours it moved quickly and the shootout scene was intense. And as always Woody Harrelson was fantastic.

Without a doubt Harrelson and Costner were the perfect actors for the roles. I could see a Ranger from those times doing exactly what happen in the beer joint scene.

I’ve always been told the Eastham Warden is the man who was responsible for bringing Hamer and Gault back to service again, not her.
The movie is pretty close to historically accurate also (to the best of what I’ve read and been taught). The filmmakers consulted with The Rangers and The Ranger Musuem in Waco.
I wish we could get the B and C car from the Nevada Casino in the Museum....it’s current value is between 5-10 million dollars
We have the Colt r80 machine gun and it’s value is well over 90k...just as a gun not counting is B and C heritageLast edited by SwampRanger; 03-30-2019, 07:06 PM.
