I used coated deck type screws,it's all pallet...

I used coated deck type screws,it's all pallet wood so I had to square the sides on my table saw before placing and I went back over the gaps with 1 inch battons.

I put small strips (battons) over the gaps,have not tried a run it yet. I dont want to burn it down but I want a bigger heat/smoke source.... Damper the main vent?.....might try that ...thanks.

It "drawed" beautifully -just cant get as hot as I'd like, so smoke/heat box remodel in the future . I also added battons on the gaps.

pallet wood addiction -smokehouse

Back yard project-I need a better smoke/heat box,smokes well but only gets to 120,but works for bacon and sausages.I collected about eight really clean/new pallets.I only get the USHT stamped red...
