I know a lot will prefer sows. However once you skin a boar, I can't tell the difference between him and a sow. We prefer sausage from swine. Ground, steaks , straps from deer. Its nice to have both.

I get a box of the American Whitetail loads every other year or so that has FTF issues. They will have a good primer strike but no boom on the other end. When it shoots, it is perfect for my rifle.

I think if you stay at least 10 feet away from the main roads you are ok. Don't park in front of any forest gates. Some FS roads are open, park to the side so you don't block others.
