I have pulled 3 fawns out of feed pens w cattle panels & 2 grown deer out of a net wire fence w 1 strand of barb wire run about 4" above net wire. Needless to say no more barb wire above fence...

I actually bought some green paint from Wally World, I cant remember the brand but I got the high gloss and it has held up surprisingly well. It has been on 3 years and it still looks good.

I dug a hole and buried my water trough and left about 4" or so above ground. I cut a piece of cattle panel and put over it to keep hogs out. Quail, turkeys, deer and just about everything uses it.
