Great Photo!

Did you use a Macro lens?

By the way, that's a Common Sanddragon (Progomphus obscurus). Found that on a Texas Dragonflies website.

I worked there for a couple of years.....

26 years ago. So long ago that it wasn't Lockheed then, it was General Dynamics. It became Lockheed Martin about halfway through my brief stay there.

I remember it as being a fine place to work....

Thanks.

I've seen Bald Eagles at a distance before, but this guy just sat & posed for me.

And you're right about Hagerman.

I'd drive up there every day if I could afford it!

Don't Overlook A Good Used Body......or lens.

Keh Camera is a reputable dealer, and Roberts Camera out of Indiana has a used camera/lens link on their website. I haven't been disappointed doing business with them.

The Museum at Ft Sill.........

is supposed to be interesting. Covers the entire history of the Post, even back to the Red River War against the Kiowa & Comanche. I think Geronimo was a prisoner there and his grave may be there too.

Mandina's on Canal Street

Not in the Quarter, but a very nice place. New Orleans Italian and seafood.

Try the turtle soup, and if they ask if you want sherry on it, say yes.

Fantastic.

I just noticed that there are quite a few H&K VP9's for sale in the classifieds.

Is there something I don't know?

I've got one with a threaded barrel and night sights and I like mine.

I Have a good heavy safe bolted down inside my house.

What kind of concerns me is knowing that even if they can't get into the safe, they DO know then that I have a safe, and they might be back when I'm home.

Of course I'm generally ready for that...

I used to duck hunt down there.....with permission.

As far as I know, that's all privately owned land down there.

Not everyone out there hunting should be.

The other thing is to carry a compass. At least you won't be walking in circles.
