My Dad's Fault.

I'm an old fart.

Every firearm I've ever shot or owned (shotgun and rifle only) had a safety. Once in 71 years I forgot to take the safety off a rifle as I was bringing it up to my shoulder.
Missed a nice buck. I...

Bought one years ago.

Learned some basic tunes fairly quickly. Learned to pick a little guitar and play a harmonica on a rack. That's even more fun.

I'm not too good, but I like to make a little music. Makes me happy.

Prayers for all.

Try to be as understanding of your Dad as you can. I've been through this with my wife.

When you first get the news it's like being hit head on by a semi.

This is BASICALLY true, but...........

I'm an old fart (71 today as a matter of fact). I remember hunting when I was a kid. We did have a few "blinds". We nailed boards to a tree and when we came to a fork, we made a half a**ed platform...

Drive the high road to Chimayo north of Santa Fe in the late afternoon.

Beautiful sunset. Eat at Rancho Chimayo. Great New Mex Mex. Sit outside on the patio.

Have a breakfast burrito at Tecolote Cafe in Santa Fe.

Several neat Native American museums there.

I worked there for a couple of years.....

26 years ago. So long ago that it wasn't Lockheed then, it was General Dynamics. It became Lockheed Martin about halfway through my brief stay there.

I remember it as being a fine place to work....

The Museum at Ft Sill.........

is supposed to be interesting. Covers the entire history of the Post, even back to the Red River War against the Kiowa & Comanche. I think Geronimo was a prisoner there and his grave may be there too.

Mandina's on Canal Street

Not in the Quarter, but a very nice place. New Orleans Italian and seafood.

Try the turtle soup, and if they ask if you want sherry on it, say yes.

I usually drive about five miles over the speed limit.

In the right lane.

unless I have to pass.

What scares the s**t out of me are the people.......sorry, mostly in pickups, who roar up behind me and get about six inches off my bumper.
