Funny how I started with a 243 which I still have. It's getting close to 50 years old I suspect. After a lifetime of owning just about every caliber made, I'm now back full circle to my original 243....

I had a 5.56 model. It was as good as my dpms, mp, or Ruger. It shot about moa groups with cheap ammo and never malfunctioned. Like most mil spec ar's the trigger had slight creep but wasn't that bad.

Ditch the feeder and find another area to hunt. I hand corn only and hunt public land. I back pack about 1 gallon and scatter it before hunting. I also do a lot of mid day hunts for nocturnal deer.
