Odd buck

I've got a very odd looking buck growing out. He gets more strange each time I check my cams.

Stick-Launcher 06-06-2017 03:48 PM

I'd like to see him finished out... He may end up being really cool.

Jared.King 06-06-2017 03:50 PM

Really interesting. I hope you keep posting pics, I'd like to see how he turns out.

ostey22 06-06-2017 03:51 PM

Very cool. He might not finish out but stay in velvet and keep growing. He might be lacking a couple things.

hammer63 06-06-2017 03:52 PM

In. He's cool!

Antlers86 06-06-2017 03:53 PM

I have a very similar buck that showed up last week. Definitely be interesting to see how he turns out. Looking tall and narrow!

Txhuntr2 06-06-2017 03:58 PM

Tag to keep up on this deer.

JLivi1224 06-06-2017 04:07 PM

I've seen tall and narrow genetics similar to this on my lease in Polk co.

dbpredator 06-06-2017 05:00 PM

Interesting.

I got his daddy !

Actually, this was from 2014. Saw this buck two years in a row, then he disappeared.

Truckville 06-07-2017 08:24 AM

Wow. That sure could be his daddy. Freaky cool buck.

joebriles 06-07-2017 08:30 AM

I'm also interested to see how he turns out!

EastTexasMan 06-07-2017 10:15 AM

Looks like that dog on a movie they put antlers on, the grinches dog maybe?

ReydonPete 06-07-2017 10:17 AM

Following to see how he turns out

Bowhuntinonly 06-08-2017 06:50 AM

Cool looking buck, does not look like he will make width if he is in antler restriction county!!!!

rjvero 06-08-2017 10:49 AM

Cool Buck, would be this be a possible target buck for you?

TXBRASS 06-08-2017 03:44 PM

One picture from this week. Sorry for the graininess. He was in the very back of a trail camera photo I cropped down. He looks pretty young to me. At this rate he may never make AR.

bowsticker 06-14-2017 01:45 PM

Cool buck

James 06-16-2017 04:09 PM

Very cool, keep us posted !

Slick8 06-16-2017 04:22 PM

I have a similar deer and even looks like a fallow as yours does from a side view.

I agree, as a 2 year old he won't make AR and likely never will.

Saw him on the hoof the other day. He looks crazy through binoculars.

buck40 06-28-2017 10:47 AM

That guy is gonna be a cool deer. Too young right now but dang cool.

JLivi1224 06-28-2017 11:01 AM

Definitely cool! Brows are awesome.

hog_down 06-28-2017 11:07 AM

I'd be calling him 'Don King'. Straight up and back!

txwhitetail 06-28-2017 12:55 PM

Could turn into a non typ beast.

Bruiser86 06-28-2017 03:07 PM

Nice rack, but young buck with that long nose. My $.02.

tmstuk 06-28-2017 03:21 PM

Can't wait to see what he finishes like!!!!

ballgame 06-28-2017 03:31 PM

this ^^^^

In for the polish off

walker1983 06-28-2017 03:55 PM

That would be a fun one to watch in a HF for about 4 more years. Could be a non typical monster one day.

Wiley64 06-28-2017 10:58 PM

one hell of a pronghorn

He is young. I'm thinking he is 3 this year. He's always been easy to identify on game pics because he is so odd.

timoub007 07-02-2017 08:25 PM

Lots of legs!
Very cool rack though. This at your east Texas place I take it from the vegetation in the background?

Tim

BTLowry 07-02-2017 09:03 PM

The rumors of his mama running around with a fallow could be true :D

That's the kind of trophy deer that antler restrictions were created to protect. In 2 or 3 years he could be really special. There are some old deer that I think people should get a pass on if it's an inch under 13. That deer there should get someone a ticket if he's 12 7/8.

He's beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

How high will he go?

TexasTealHunter 07-17-2017 02:51 PM

Love seeing these updates

Hix 07-17-2017 02:59 PM

That's cool

snappertapper 07-17-2017 03:17 PM

I can't tell if his ears are huge, or if its just his goofy azz rack making them appear that way.

Either way, cool deer for sure.

Here's a link to a funky deer that was somewhat similar to yours. Never knew what happened to him.

EastTexasMan 07-17-2017 03:32 PM

I'd let him walk and next year see what he did at 4.5. Be a nice cool buck I bet

He's got big ol mule ears for sure. I bet they are 16" tip to tip, combine that with the tall rack + immature build and he's very goofy looking. Poor fella looks put together with spare parts.

richaustintx 07-18-2017 07:58 PM

Like to see more pics of him for sure.

mikeyb_23 07-18-2017 08:05 PM

Hope he isn't in a ar county. Cool looking buck anyways.

texas shag 07-18-2017 08:55 PM

his dang brow tines look like turkey feet. Neat deer!

Then it's settled... his name is Frankenstein. Lol
