TBH Trad Hog Hunt 2018

Before I contact Dale I thought I would get some input on preferred dates. I assume that we will be returning to Texas S.

Easter will be April 1 in 2018. Looking at the TBoT website it seems that the Hill Country shootout will be April 14 - 15, and some of the guys might want to attend.

As usual, I am going to offer the spots to the current participants, so the preliminary list will look like this:

1. Phillip Fields
2. EnW
3. Featherflinger
4. Chackworth
5. Hunter Todd
6. TxMark
7. SwampRabbit
8. Little John
9. Jake the snake
10. Hunter
11. R.Amendariz
12. Bowhuntvideo

Also, as previously, any open spots will first be offered to prior year participants before being offered to new guys.

DRT 04-26-2017 10:10 AM

Up for first opening.

Looks like you have my known no-fly zones already covered with Easter and the weekend of the 14/15th (on a side note, I won't be making Vanderpool next year either...)

I liked that it was later in April as it spreads out the spring hunting a bit.

Featherflinger 04-26-2017 03:52 PM

I liked it being later this year because they had more cover to hide in!

Buff 04-26-2017 05:17 PM

Put me done if you have a open spot

Hunter Todd 04-26-2017 06:43 PM

Later in April is fine with me. I just like to shoot pigs...........

EnW 04-26-2017 09:07 PM

April 13-15 would pose less trouble for my work schedule, but I'm sure I can work around any other dates y'all come up with.
Eric

bowhuntvideo 04-26-2017 09:18 PM

Open to any.

Phillip Fields 05-05-2017 11:13 AM

Just got confirmation from Dale. We are booked for April 20 - 22, 2018.

All the spots are filled. I put the first one of these hunts together in 2014. We had such a good time that we have repeated each year since. I normally offer the spots to the previous years' participants, with first preference going to last year's participants. This is more than just a hunt, its a gathering of friends.

There's not a thing wrong with that. Y'all put plenty of time and effort into it and you come a long way to enjoy it. Just like good hunting leases are tough to get on but worth the wait I'm sure this set up is as well.

At this time I have tentatively committed to going to Everest (base camp) in April, so even if a spot were to open I couldn’t fill it. I know you will all have a great time.
