That sure seems more likely, at this point, than them getting 50.

We should pool our money and put it on a billboard.

How much does a billboard go for these days?

This is the kind of sickness coming from the left. How anyone could let their sons or daughters attend schools that knowingly employee professors like this is beyond me.

I would wager that every university on the planet employees at least one like that. Academia attracts moon bats.

Heidi Heitkamp from ND is going to lose and she knows it, her only option is to vote no and hope she can land a job in the future when the Democratic party takes the white house over, hopefully she's unemployed for a long time.

When will the vote to confirm take place? Is the investigation over tomorrow and they will also vote tomorrow?

...I just saw where they expect to vote over the weekend. Right now the consensus seems to be he is going to squeak in.

Depends where they are located. $750-5k. The busier the road. The more expensive they are. A couple years ago we looked at a billboard off 45 north of the woodlands. It was $5000/mo. Iím sure they are more now.

I'll pitch in. The more liberal the area the more I will give.

Let's hope the 3 most flakey RINO senators don't turn around and vote NO on confirmation tomorrow.

If 1 flips, Pence can break the tie. If 2 flip, it's over.

From the WSJ

Quote:

After weeks of tumult, testimony, and a supplemental FBI investigation, the Senate voted to advance Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Friday, paving the wave for a full vote as early as Saturday.

The procedural cloture vote, which ended floor debate on the nominee, passed the Senate with a 51-49 tally.

All Democratic senators, except Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, voted against Kavanaugh’s nomination advancing, while all Republican senators voted for the nominee, except for Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

I'm afraid if Collins announces a no, then she will bring at least one with her. 49-51

Not sure why folks would change their vote tomorrow. But it is setting this up to be a little more dramatic vote by the rep from Montana. He will fly in after his daughter's wedding tomorrow night to cast the deciding (I hope) vote.

Kinda what I was thinking...what would the point of voting yes today but change it to a no tom?

LWC 10-05-2018 01:19 PM

Sen. Jeff Flake told MSNBC today that he will vote yes on Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation, unless something "big" were to happen.

"I don't see what would," Flake added. " But anyway, I'm glad we had a better process."

Earlier today, the Arizona Republican voted yes to advance Kavanaugh's nomination.

Where things stand: That leaves Susan Collins and Joe Manchin as the two remaining undecided senators. If both vote no, Kavanaugh is done. If one votes no and one votes yes, this thing stretches on a bit longer, but he'll be the next Supreme Court justice.

He may be worried some Democrats or protesters will track him down and make him change his vote.

Is that a guess or has everyone indicated how they will vote?

rtp 10-05-2018 02:36 PM

The sickening part of this, is that it has become completely partisan and probably sets the present for any future nominees. Freaking Kagan and Sotomayor were both overwhelmingly confirmed.

This was the Senate vote to advance the nomination further, I believe. Still one more final vote to get through.

Gotcha....one of the Republicans is at his daughter's wedding from what I understand and they will hold the vote open until his return on Sunday if his vote is needed.
