Repositioning video camera while in stand

Alright everyone I have a first world problem. I just build a large tank bow blind,
http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=649961. It's 8' across. I build a camera mount using Smarts DIY thread, which has a tripod head on it. I can operate my camera from a app on my phone, start recording, zoom. My problem/question is what is a good solution/diy set up can I do in order to reposition (left or right) the camera from 6' away? I thought about just a long piece of all thread the same thread size and the arm on it, but I'm worried it will get in the way.

I guess I don't understand your setup or why the camera is 6' away.

Michael posted a video with a bunch of setups. Maybe you can get some ideas from it...

Sorry, I'm not much help but I'll be interested to see any ideas you get or what you come up with.

What about a string and pulley system? That way you could let the string go and it would be quiet. I'm a fan of minimizing things that could go bump...
