Terrible to see. Looks like one was trying to get in while the other was trying to get out.

I check my snares twice a day for that reason. I've only caught a deer once and was able to let it go. I usually get small/medium pigs in them.

Not sure why that deer tried to get through that hole, I really don’t think she would have fit. Thinking she stuck her head through then pulled back

The neighbor at the lease has his place high fenced and he built it about 3’ inside the original low fence that was there, couple nights ago I was going to town for dinner and a spike came running across the road jumped straight over the low fence right into the high fence and fell between, I didn’t see him when I came back so I guess he found his way out..

Found one like the little buck around 2 years ago. 1.5 yr old 9 point, made me sick. He was still warm so the Cowboy had plenty to eat.

Heck, I find them stuck on our low fence every year also.

We probably find 2-3 every year on our low fence place. It happens with all fences

It’s those back feet getting caught jumping barbed wire that snag most...

Why would you make a hole just to put a snare ?

I was wondering that myself, seems like it’s defeating the purpose
