    Boyd’s gunstocks

So was at Walmart the other day and I noticed that they had a rem 700 adl in 308 for 375 bucks so I bought it with the intent of changing the stock my question is has anyone used the Boyd’s prairie hunter to me it looks very similar to a weatherby style I want a traditional looking stock with a high comb that doesn’t cost more than the rifle

I’ve got a Boyds Prairie Hunter on a M70. The price was right and it fit well.

I like them. I rebarreled and restocked my first rifle. It was an old savage palletwood stock. It shot more patterns than groups. The barrel helped but the nice Boyd stock really helped on acccuracy. It shoots bug holes now. Its what my 9yo daughter is going to use this year( thats why the scope looks far back)

I have replaced around 8 cheap plastic factory stocks with Boyds over the years and have yet to be disappointed. For the money they are tough to beat. Most of the ones I got did need a little bit of dremel work for a perfect fit. I also bedded everyone of them. All of the guns had a noticeable improvement over the factory stocks.

I have bought a few Boyds stocks and could not be happier with the fit, finish and price.
The Heritage line is what I put on a Savage Axis, and the same color(pepper) in a two pc one for my H&R AAC special 300BO.

This is the stock I bought for my daughter. It is a Praire Hunter. I am Rebarreling that action. It was an SPS, like the one you bought.

Boyds or stockys will be good choices. Compare to see which you. Like better. I like both of their laminate lines, myself. Being a lefty shooting rh rifles, it makes it harder for stocks.

I've replaced the stocks on 2 rifles with Boyds. 1 was an SPS I put a Classic on. Fit was very good, very little inletting needed on either. Finish looked great on both as well.

I bought one off here that was bedded from APR. I like it a lot better than the stock weatherby vanguard. I don't remember what model it is but I think for the price they're good quality
