    Yellowstone Series filming in Texas!

Wife and I went to one of our favorite "Country Cafe's" today for lunch, Mary's Cafe on the Brazos. It's about 20 miles from Granbury out in the country on a FM road. Yesterday they had a film crew from Yellowstone filming Jimmy and his girl friend stopping for lunch.

Our server had a brief cameo appearance, of course the eatery was closed for the filming. Me, always curious, asked if "Jimmy" was a little guy as many actors are? She said he was Tall and Skinny, like a lot of the Cowboys who frequent Mary's for lunch...oh, it's really good home style cooking by the way!

I also have a buddy that told me last week another Yellowstone crew was filming a segment north of Amarillo?

Just guessing but seems Jimmy is making a rodeo circuit in Texas?

Our waitress said it was fun except for the "multiple" takes that took a long time and did a job on her "slipped disk." Looking forward to the new season, long way off, and seeing a place we go to all the time for lunch.

Well , compared to 95% of the crap on the tube, I find it entertaining.
Cool that some was filmed here.
And some of the music is by local artists

Doubt it. Film companies go all over the US looking for the "perfect" place for a shoot.

When that scene airs, it will be played off like its a cafe in Montana.

There are multiple pieces of that show, so far, that I swear, are based on real life events, that have happened on various ranches in Texas. I won't name any names. But back in the 70s and 80s, I know of stuff, like what what they show on that show, happening on ranches in Texas. Actually, I was told, of stuff like that happening many years before my time, on a south Texas ranch. Don't know how much of that stuff, still goes on, but bet it does in some areas.

There are some of the show, that is definitely more modern battles, that have been fought by land owners, in recent years.

If you knew some of the crazy stories I have been told about some of the ranches I knew of. It was some crazy stuff. I know of one guy, who finally went to prison, for some of his crimes, but most of his crimes, he was never tried for. Most of those crimes involved stealing property, forcing people off their property, and killing land owners to get their land. Much like the drug cartels have done in more recent years.

I know of ranches that have or had their own security, one that it's security force, was a state agency, may still be, don't know, how things work on that ranch now.

A lot of it seems far fetched, but when you are talking about very large ranches, owned by very wealthy land owners, usually also, own a lot of oil and gas production. They make up a lot of the rules they play by, or at least they used to. Would not be surprised if they don't still do so. Most likely not exactly like they used to do things 30+ years ago, got to change with the times.

I couldn't get into it at first but love it now that I actually watched a few. Been trying to catch up on the first two seasons. It's a little out there on believability but most shows are. Its entertaining as long as you aren't looking for a history lesson
