It all sounds good to me with the exception of the Space Force stuff. Total waste of money in my eyes.

Absolutely NOT a waste of money! The Space Force will either be American, or someone else (China?? Russia??) will do it. We need to stay ahead of that and be in charge. Further, developing a "Space Force" will create many, many jobs and new innovations that will help all Americans... Just look at what the space program did for technology in general... Look what it did for electronics, special materials developments, pharmaceuticals, specialty gases,... the list goes on and on... AND there have been so many positive environmental issues that have been developed that had roots in the space program, from water treatment, waste minimization, recycling, waste disposal, and on and on...

There are many, many benefits that will come out of this IF we can keep it from being politicized. I think Trump can get it started right. He knows how to start up, organize and run a business, and this is essentially what it will be.

I can see some of that. I have never been fascinated with things pertaining to space and never understood the desire to have to be the first to get somewhere or do something in space. Most will disagree with me and that's ok. I personally feel like those billions of dollars are better spent on this planet.

I fully support a renewed space program. SS outlines it pretty well. But naming it "Space Force"? Cheeeeezy name. It has the ring like one of those old Saturday morning sci-fi marionette shows - Thunderbirds, Fireball XL-5, Supercar etc. Or a bad drive-in science fiction movie from the '50's.

But I suppose it's better than US Intergalactic Planetary Space Command.

Space force will be a mighty big deal in the short future. Right now Russia is building satellite's that will take out other satellite's in space. Don't sound like such a major thing till you think about all the satellite's that our military uses to monitor and react to situations around the world. Keeping those satellite's safe in space will ensure our troops can respond quickly and they themselves will be less vulnerable to surprise attacks. It might be a goofy name but future warfare could very well be fought in space before its fought on the ground here.

Does it have anything to do with a wall and who is going to pay for it?

Is Hillary locked up in this plan?

Just messing around and joking ...

I dont think Trump has run a very good campaign this time around. He has been letting push him into a reactive mode of response instead of ignoring the mindless stuff and speaking on his record and his plans for the future. He should have been talking nonstop about a plan like this for several months now. I think Kelly Anne Conway leaving has hurt him.

JJ, i understand you're poking the bear, so to speak, but those items underscore how deep the corruption and collusion goes in DC. Neither of the 2 things you mention sound unreasonable to any normal, everyday, American. Couple that with the fact that Trump had Republican controlled House and Senate for the first 2 years and those 2 things alone should have been a slam dunk to be accomplished in about 6 months. Then every other item on the agenda that the Republicans were shouting from the roof tops should have been forced down Dems throats.

Yet here we are 4 years later and we're still dealing with the SOS. There is NO DIFFERENCE between the 2 parties in DC. They are only concerned about maintaining their ruling class and the way you do that is by perpetuating the status quo.

I think the Dems have made a huge mistake in how they are attacking this. Them basically saying they don’t want to send Americans more stimulus to spite President Trump has been HORRIBLE. Then they keep declaring that the COVID handling has been a debacle while they let the Economy stay in the tank.

Americans are more worried about their money now. Trump had/has a perfect opportunity to jump all over that.

The problem Trump had with having the House for the first two years of his Presidency was Paul Ryan as Speaker- he was a weasel that wasn't going to help Trump.
