    Abbott anti riot legislation

    Good Deal!

All that stuff is already against the law. Abbott knows he’s in trouble with the way he’s handling the Covid situation so he has to make a big announcement and more legislation. Enforce the laws we have and the riots wouldn’t be happening.

If a person strikes an officer and it only causes pain, it currently is a 3rd degree felony. He is proposing 6 months? I guess that is if you only make contact and offend the officer.

The problem is not the law. Texas has some of the strictest laws... that aren’t always prosecuted by the various DAs. New laws aren’t the answer. A DA willing to prosecute is.....

Yup Aboot needs to go.. Even the liberal of liberal cities dropped a brick of C4 with a robot on the last cop killer so he's just using what's already there to boost himself.. Get that A-hole houston mayor on board, and to denounce all this b.s. and maybe I'll change my mind

Jury’s can also be a problem. Most jurors don’t want to sit and pay attention through a trial. It’s real hard to get a jury convictions. I have watched several juries return not guilty verdicts in recent years for assaults on a Public servant. Even when some were on video.

Whoa.....how quickly you forget....antifa and others were coming to riot in Austin and Abbott had the DPS and NG in place. No riot and the thugs left with their tail tucked. You guys make me laugh, you're, oh, so tough. LOL
