    Axis Buck hunt 2021

    Planning an Axis buck hunt for my Father and myself next Spring or Summer 2021. After doing some research, I am really liking Timberlake Ranch, West Kerr Ranch and Bang Whitetail Ranch Exotic Division.

    What are you guys take on these choices. Are there any other Ranch/Outfitters I need to look at? Want to get my Dad on a very good chance at taking his first Axis buck.

    If I were in the market to hunt a top end Axis, I would defiantly reach out to J-J Matt her on TBH. I have personally never met or hunted with him but his posts of animals taken is impressive and I can't remember ever seeing a negative reply regarding his ranches are operation of.

      I can recommend Diamond C (bow only) and Kinsel ranch in Mountain Home. Just got back from there and we had a good time.

        Forgot to mention, We would be rifle hunting. My Father cannot draw a bow anymore and does not like crossbows.

          I've hunted Timberlake several times and love going there. That said I never really saw a ton of huge Axis. Lot's of other nice game.

            Take a look at the YO Schreiner ranch. One of the best axis herds in the state.

                  Look into Gene Hennigan owner Doubledraw ranch junction. Not sure what $$ range you looking at. Have hunted with Gene going on 8yrs+. Great family and the food OUTSTANDING

                            Check out El Sapo Guide service. My hunt with him fell through, but great communicator and I follow him on social Insta and they kill nice axis.
