Billy, I have not used the ASF, but Outbacks are on all of the stands on the ranch I hunt. They will outlast all of us and have good warranty service, but they are not cheap.

Are you talking the caged ones or the Bucees' plate ones?

I’ve been looking at the ASF as well as the Greengos.

The caged ones I have throw corn as far as any broadcast feeder. The deer don't seem to have a problem eating the little bit that falls under them either.

I have several of them. They do ok. I'd guess more than half the corn stays within 10 feet from the feeder. Quite a bit of it falls right by the feeder though.

Honestly, unless you put an eliminator plate on them, the coons can still reach the spinner plate. I've put eliminators on all my feeders now to keep the birds and coons off of them.

the lamco style will throw corn much better than the caged ASF, but the lamco is also about $200 more.

where this feeder is located, there might be a handful of kernels that make it outside the pen. I actually moved the feeder over a few feet to make sure no corn goes outside the pen.

I’ve got 6 of them and have been very satisfied. Raise the spinner up pretty close to where the corn comes out so that the same amount takes longer to come out. This will cause more of the corn to be thrown farther.

Yes they throw pretty far. Will sting you good if your standing close. Best money I have spent.

We have a #600 and a #1000 lbs ASF stand and fill with the cages. Both of them throw plenty far from the feeders. Great design and worth the money.

What buckerup said, also the newer ones have a deflection plate so the corn does not fall under the feeder, pretty solid feeders.
