What color should a new counter top be? Also back splash. I’m thinking about a diy concrete top. If not marble.

Checkout stonecoatcountertops.com they sell epoxy kits that you can do whatever you want and look like marble, granite or stone for way cheaper -
I did a concrete top before Harvey it was fun and not that hard. Had the storm not come we would still have it. Check out Youtube. Mine ran about $40 a SF.Comment

I don’t care for the concrete counter tops. I’ve seen exactly one (on here actually) that looked really good.
Is marble too porous for kitchen tops?

I am currently doing DIY countertops in my DIY home. Concrete is one type of countertop that us getting to be more popular due to its ability done your self and in many finishes. I am going with a grey color when mine are done. I just got done building the island and want to pour it Saturday. It fairly large at 13’ 10” x62”
It’s quite a bit of work if doing it by yourself.
