Pocket knife is kit, I liked it because of cnc filework. I buy blades from USA blades mites and I do the scales and buildout. No, I don't forge but make my scales and stabilize the wood.

That's how I started out over 20 years ago, I bought some blades and put handles on them, then I built me a grinder and made a few out of files and experimented with various steels. Then I got serious about it and studied metallurgy (the heart and soul of a knife) and a hobby turned into a full time business. Today I make and sell over 300 knives a year, which leaves me with very little time to hunt and fish.

You could film yourself making these, I bet it would help a lot of people. I know there are others doing it too, but with any trade, the more info and intel, the merrier. Good luck moving on with your DIY projects, they're really neat.

Nice. The only thing I’ve made since retiring is a mess.
