    Figures crossed

My neighbor down the street has had something getting her chickens. She told my 17yr old to take care of what ever it was & she’d pay him for it. So yesterday evening he took my .25 cal Sumatra down there with a Predator call & sat in the back of her broke down truck at the edge of the hay field. Well after about 10 min of calling he spotted a what he said was a huge bobcat at around 40yrds. He put a 45gr hollowpoint slug in its chest, waited about 10 minutes & came got me. We found great blood, bright red & a lot of it. Well we came up on the thing & it got up a wearily walked away from us. We backed out & gonna back after my morning sit. And he was right, the glimpse of him I saw, he looked like he was around 40lbs. It was dark & when I seen him we turned & burned out there. I didn’t want a mad 40lb cat after us. Hoping we find him today. Man that boy was something excited!!!!

No one realizes how strong those cats really are... I shot one with a .270 at 25 yards and it still made it over 200 yards. When I got to it it had no front shoulders left and the ball fragmented and broke the back hips as well with a blood trail that looked like someone poured a paint can out. They are incredibly tough animals!

Put a hound on his track and you will have him in no time.

Found him. She made it about 45yrd from initial impact. About 15yrds from where we jumped her last night. He’s pumped!!! He’s claiming to be the neighborhood varmint control. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]

Awesome. Bobcat rugs are pretty nice mounts. Congrats on the varmint control status!
