Pig Hunting Ranch for RMSGear Boys???

    Hey guys,

I just got back from Colorado, and spent a day at RMSGear in Wheat Ridge. They have been putting on traditional archery/hog hunting clinics for the past few years with Joel Turner, The Push guys, etc. Anyway, the spot they have been hunting is no longer available.

They are looking for a spot to hunt/put on clinics for the Feb/March time frame down here in Texas/Oklahoma area. Anyone have any inside information?

The premise is small group coaching in the morning and hunting in the afternoon/evenings. Kind of a teach and then use it in the field course. Would need lodging onsite or close to the property. Please let me know if you may have any info.

Man I hope they continue in Texas because I am hoping to go this next year if my wife and kids allow it. I do not know anyone with a big ranch but if I do I will keep this in mind. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep, we’ll see if they can do a big ranch. I doubt it. Even Danny and Alex said they were spoiled! Ha ha ha

Do they have a specific area of Texas on which they’d like to focus? I may visit with them a bit in August when I go up there as well. These folks are as nice as they come.

Nope, not that I know of. Dan said so anyway, Tom was in Alaska hunting bears. If you have any ideas let me know.

Just curious - what was their setup before (acreage - HF/LF - over feeders - accommodations?) Just one of those questions that would need to be answered from some folks coming from out west.

Also - are they just hunting hogs because they are 'cheap' from a licensing standpoint? If I were coming from another state to hunt something in Feb/March - it would be Javis and Hogs. Javis any time of the day - Hogs in the evening/moonlight.

Maybe put them in touch with the Callahan Ranch? It's a YUGE property, lots of pigs and javis too.

They were hunting a big property west of Abilene, all low fence and spot and stalk. Had a bunk house they were based out of. The hunting itself is secondary to the teaching and opportunity to use the teachings.

It's a really nice property near Laredo. I hunted javis out there a few years back.

There's at least one mobile home there, it's nothing fancy but it was really clean when we were there. I think there whole property is like 100,000 acres or something crazy like that so there may be more than one bunk house too.

I don’t have any ranches, but I’m headed up to get some coaching from Tom in two weeks.

Off topic, but that ranch holds some monster bucks!

Does Krivoman on here still have a pig hunting ranch?

I recently enrolled in the online course and like what I see so far. He is the only coach I’ve found who aligns with my shooting philosophy in that he transfers as much as possible from FITA.
