    Hidden Falls Adventure Park- UTV

Anybody on the green screen have anything good or bad to say about Hidden Falls?

Considering booking a few days during Spring break to take the kids down and camp. Probably the Ranger and a mini-ATV or 2 with us. I figured there are locals to it on here and I've seen a thread or two but wanted to ask for myself.

We'd like to tent camp and ride for a full day, another half day, and we would be driving from DFW or our cabin so probably a 2.5-3 hour drive. Just trying to make sure it's worth it. I think the ridding would be fun for the kids no matter what but really curious about tent camping out there.

I’ve been a few times. Not a bad place to go. I’ve never camped there but it seems decent. You can also take some guns and do skeet shooting.

It’s a lot of fun! I’ve taken my Jeep, along with my family, several times. Supposed to be out there this weekend.

Get there early Thursday if you want a decent camp site. The kids will have a blast & so will you! The maps for the trails are the worst I've ever seen so don't rely on them too much. ATT service is spotty & no other carriers work, that I've seen. Make sure everyone has a helmet, as it's required.

Its a very fun place to go. This weekend will be busy as heck out there. I am a member of Austin Jeep People and we are going to the annual PBR (polar bear run), meaning we wheel tops and doors off in he cold. Over 500 jeep/people have registered to this years event. It's a fund raising event for charity. Will be fun.

Have you considered Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer? It's a prettier offroad park with nice forested trails that's a lot closer to you. The downside is they are only open Thursday through Sunday and there is not much else to do in the area.

As far as Hidden Falls, it's a nice setup but it's mostly cedar trees. If you don't mind the lack of facilities, Area51 is a great place to tent camp and puts you right next to the ATV only trails. If you do get bored there's lot to do in the surrounding area.

I didn't know anyone in AJP knew what that extra lever on the floor was.

Kinda what I'm thinking after looking into it... Looks like a pretty crowded park on a normal weekend.

Went to Barnwell in my YJ years ago but I really hadn't considered it.

Ha, I think that about 99.5% of the jeeps I see runnning around DFW anymore.

There's a lot that don't. Once I showed my wife what it does I don't get to be behind the wheel anymore. I was moved to spotter position.
