Help Me Pick A New Rifle

So I’ve got roughly a $1k to buy a new rifle and want a 300 win mag so that I can use for a future Aoudad hunt. I’m really torn between Browning, Bergara, and even Savage. I’m a weekend warrior, will use factory ammo, primarily a hunting rifle with an occasional session to try and get out to 500-600 yards with it.

    Here is my wish list:

    Stainless steel Barrel
Not too heavy - would like a true hunting rig.
    Adjustable stock and trigger
Threaded barrel to add muzzle brake or would like it to have one installed already.

What I don’t like about the Browning’s is the proprietary scope rings/mounts along with their stocks. I really like the savage 10/100 bear hunter which has everything I’m looking for but it being a “Savage” scares me?

I’ve been reading different threads on here but nothing has pushed me one way or the other?

Does the $1,000 not include glass?

Why would a savage scare you? They make a great rifle.

For a grand I would probably step into a tikka and do about $400 in work to get it all you want it to be. It’s light and good value

No sir - I’ve got the glass handled already.

With $1k I'd go with Bergara.

I would recommend the tikka then drop some coin on a trigger and bed job and done

Is it truly a quality gun that will last a longtime and shoot lights out at 400 yards if I do my part?

Lol...I would likely end up with a really clean used rig by big green if I was looking, but I prefer the older stuff in general.

If buying new, it would be really difficult to not have tika at the top of the list...to me & everything im hearing from the shooters who follow, tika is the 700 of old. Savage could hold the title but you have to consider the whole horse face problem they can’t get past. Some owners are chewing off their arm after the kill.

I like the hells canyon stainless but like the action on the bergara just a tad heavy for what im going to be doing so think I’m going with the tika super lite in camo. Been a hard decision though because I really like the grippy coating they use on the hells canyon
