I purchased a Stevens Model 200 22-250 from a buddy of mine a year or so ago. It has an aftermarket Boyd's laminated stock and has what I believe is the factory "blind magazine" installed in the stock. For the life of me, I cannot figure out an easy way to load the dang magazine with rounds. I have been successful in getting ONE ROUND down in the magazine by pushing a round kind of up into the chamber a little bit, pulling the back of the round down so it's in front of the narrow neck of the magazine, pushing it down and pulling the dang round back into the magazine using my fingernail and the rim at the base of the round. But, I'll be ****ed if I can't load the next round that way on top of the first round. So, to save myself the embarrassment of asking my buddy how the heck to load this thing, I've basically been using it as a single shot rifle. Anybody got any ideas on how the heck I'm supposed to load up this magazine through the breach???

Is your follower in correct from when you put the stock on the rifle? I had a Boyd's do that on my .270 took a bit to get the spring and follower to all sit in and work properly but once it finally settled in it worked great.

There should be a latch right behind the magazine.
It might be hidden between the front part of the trigger guard and the magazine buried in the magazine plate.
I'm not familiar with Stevens so you might wanna also try pushing the safety the opposite direction. (Though that might be the bolt release).Comment

The lips of the magazine should allow you to rest the round on top, press it down, and the round should go through the lips and be in the magazine.Comment

I had a 7mm-08. It loaded by just pressing next round down on top of first and so on.
The only problem I had, it would unload the same way when I cycled the bolt. 2 cartridges would pop up creating a mess. I had to put a piece of masking tape on the follower so the cartridges would have enough friction to stay in place.Comment
