    TYHP - Youth waterfowl hunt on Texana Dec 7th

    We just posted up a youth waterfowl hunt in conjunction with LNRA on Lake Texana Dec 7-9. It is open to Jackson, Lavaca and Wharton county students/residents ages 12-17. Will be staying at Brackenridge campground. If you know any youth hunters that fit this criteria please share the link below with them.

    Dang my oldest is just a year shy of being able to participate in that one. Oh well there is always nest year.

      My oldest just turned 9 and will start duck hunting this year. Hopefully they'll still have this hunt when he is old enough

        Both of mine ( 11 and 9 ) have enjoyed the early teal season so far. 4 hunts under their belts and 2 more to go. All 4 hunts they were both 1 duck away from limits. Thank goodness 20 ga shells are cheap!

          We got drawn for the hunt in Edna next weekend. Did you apply for that one?

                I must have missed them somehow. I've checked them about once a week since August but never saw them on there until it was passed the deadline. Seems they don't give much time

                  We didn't get anything. Saw plenty of deer going to and from the blinds. It was just too hot and not much was really moving. the deer we saw just watched us roll by and went about their business. There is another one in Edna. Live Oak Circle C. That is a great hunt that you need to apply for. They should also have a LNRA hunt coming up. I just don't think they have the dates yet.

                      The LNRA youth hunt will be in January, look for it to be posted probably mid-November.
