    Planted food plots this weekend

Now praying for rain and no dang army worms. Put in 10 acres of the Turner seed blend. Also added an additional 5 lbs. of turnips and 5 lbs. of radishes.

Looking good. Did you disk, spread fertilizer/seed and disc again? Just curious as to how you planted.

Actually, we shredded first, then disked, etc.

Man for ten Acres forget that spreader and borrow one of those fertilizer/seed buggys from feed store . The folks at ranchland in Goldthwaite mix our seed and fertilizer all together and dump in buggy. 3500lbs total on ten acres. Pull it with pickup.

I normally do what you said. Last weekend I wasn’t planning on putting in the plots, only shredding and disking the ground to get it ready for next weekend. But I had an extra helper show up, so jumped in the truck and ran to Breckenridge to buy the seed and get em in the ground while I had help. Normally I buy my fertilizer from Farley Farm Supply in Deleon and they mix everything in the buggy for me and I just sling it out. But didn’t have time to get to Deleon on Saturday cause they close at noon. So, this time I’ll do my fertilizing next Saturday.

We will be doing this Saturday in San Saba. Hopefully catch some rain before and after we plant. And praying for no army worms.
