    Brute "Bison Coolers" problem

Anybody know where I can find a couple of latches for a Brute cooler now Bison coolers. I bought this cause It was Made here in usa I thought and local. But was told today this one was made in Taiwan. They dont make theese latches any more and good luck.

Kinda sad, I guess I should have bought a Yeti. Any help on latch replacement would be helpfull. THanks ahead of time

I think these would work, at least I hope so as I have an original Brute also -https://www.bisoncoolers.com/collections/replacement-parts/products/replacement-latches-gen1

I do know that they have great customer service so if you give them a call, I'm willing to bet they will ship you some for free or at a discounted price.

I filled out a warranty info and the sent me the wrong latches for my cooler so
I did call and they said good luck they didnt make that latch any more. They were
nice about it but not much help for a solution. This deep blue latch TMKreuger sent looks like they might work

Txgaint, They wont work. That was what they sent me was the Gen1 not the same latch. Or at least not the same as the one I have on my Brute.
                FYI

Dang, thanks for the info. Hope my latches never give out.

I also found this thread from a week ago, maybe the instructions they gave will work with the latches they sent you hopefully?

These are the ones from the generation one coolers that they imported. They then switched to making them in the US which is the current style.

Good to know that Engel has that style of latch

I recommend the stainless engle latches, the rubber ones break really easy (probably like the one you broke).

I bought a 100 quart from them with the TBH lid wrap about 5 years ago. I was recently putting something in it and noticed the bottom flexed and the plastic and separated from the insulation. I contacted them and in 3 or 4 days I had a new 125 quart with the TBH lid wrap for free. They did ask me to show a video of the separation and to destroy the cooler with pics provided. I drilled holes in the lid and sent them a few pics.
