    Fort Boggy SP Info Thread?

    Hey gang -

    So, I know a couple of us have drawn for the Fort Boggy SP hunt in the middle of October. Assuming my work doesn't drag me out to California on that week my plan is to hunt that for about 3 days. But, seems like the information for that area is pretty sparse? If anyone has any intel for us newbies we'd really appreciate it. I figure organizing it in one place would be useful.

    Anyone have tips/experience?

    Last year when I hunted there the rut (told by the park ranger) had pretty much ended already by November 16. So for archery draw we might be in the beginning of it. Last year I drew gun either sex and we were allowed to use corn. You’ll be given a compartment which consisted of approximately 100-200 acres and can hunt anywhere within that area.

      I was also drawn. But not the system says "Permit withdrawn" and I don't have an option to purchase the permit. ***?

          I've hunted it 4 times and slung arrows every time. Lots of deer and cover. If there is a acorn crop, they will be dropping and won't need any corn. Find the acorns, find the deer.
