Amazon.com is about all messed up! I ordered a fishing rod on sale and it arrived broken. Went online and submitted an exchange. The next day, UPS picked up the broken one and the day after that the replacement rod arrived in good order.
I thought that was that, done. Well, three days after receiving the replacement I get an email from Amazon that they received the damaged rod and my refund should be received within two days. I figured it was just a glitch email and ignored it but sure enough, two days later (yesterday) I received a full refund.
Okay, so Amazon replaced the rod plus gave me my money back. How backwards can you be? Oh but wait, it gets better! So I call Amazon today and explained to them what had happened and for whatever reason they did not understand what I was talking about. Finally, after being transferred three times I found a manager who understood but did not know how to take my money. They transferred me again only to again be transferred (I explained six times in total their mistake) where the young lady wanted to send me yet another rod free of charge. Ugh...
Finally, after 30 minutes of explaining to several people I got transferred to someone who would “shut up and take my money!” When it was all said and done it cost Amazon more money in labor and benefits because it took so darn long than the actual dollar amount I owed them...smh
