    Possession of unregistered ammunition

    I thank God every day, that I was born a Texan.

    I was reading an article on Fox News, and looked up the meaning of this:

    Possession of unregistered ammunition


    D.C. law requires residents to register every firearm with the police, and only registered gun owners can possess ammunition, which includes spent shells and casings. The maximum penalty for violating these laws is a $1,000 fine and a year in jail.Oct 23, 2013

    I have always said that when they have finally exhausted all attacks on guns they will go after ammo: And there is a historical precedent for it. During the revolution period ammo was stored in communal store houses, called powder houses. This wasn’t for control purposes as much as it was a safety measure because black powder was so volatile. But the precedent was set that artifacts of ammo were centralized and likely “registered” to determine who owned what and how much....

      Most moves to gain more control are done so under the disguise of "safety".
