    Knife makers needed!!!

    SCI Houston (not to be confused with the Houston Safari Club) is looking for knife makers for our annual banquet and expo. Expo is will be held at the Humble Convention Center on July 21, 2018. What better way to show off your creations! Outfitters and exhibitors from around the world will be at this event. Booths are $250. After the expo, join us for the dinner, auction and show featuring the one and only Mickey Gilley!

    SCI Houston is the largest SCI chapter in the world and the fastest growing chapter 2 years in a row!

      How many people are expected through the door?
      Is it also like a typical gun show with purses/jewelry/non hunting stuff?

        No, not like a gun show. it’s huntin stuff, outfitters. All day event. As far as numbers, I’m not sure, but I will find out.

          Would be cool to have someone do a knife sharpening and care clinic

            I'm interested in attendance projections and booth count as well. Will you be vetting vendors or allowing "makers" who ship in stuff from China and Pakistan as well. Not interested in a "gun show" with imported goods type experience.

              You might try posting this in the DIY forum, this is where the knife makers sell their product.

                We are looking for handmade knife makers. There will be less than 80 booths with no more than 5 or 6 knife makers. Other booths will be outfitters, guides, other outdoor products. This will not be a big show like TTHA or the boat show. One day event. Several hundred to a thousand attendees. I’m not real sure. The banquet draws several hundred people every year.

                            Yes, this is an annual event. We have an annual fund raiser banquet where a few vendors have set up displays, a heck of an auction and great entertainment. We haven’t had an expo in a few years. With the new board members, it is our plan to have an annual expo AND banquet!
                            (Several of the board members of sci Houston are members of tbh! )

                            Proceeds from our fundraisers go to, but not limited to, community service, hunter education, humanitarian aid, conservation and help fund the battle for hunters right.
