I have been using the BLACK X1000 scope's in both MOA/MRAD for about 9 months now and love em. A much needed line-up from Nikon. Great Nikon glass, crisp, repeatable and reliable turrets, 30 mm tube and available with or without illumination. I helped out at Nikon's SHOT Show booth this year and had my hands all over Nikon's new BLACK FX1000 scope. WOW is all I can say. FFP where the BLACK X1000 is SFP. The turret's and reticles are designed for those of you who want to get out and see what your rifles can do long range. I have 2 of the BLACK X1000's on 6.5 cm's and 1 on a .308. I haven't shot past 700 yards yet but it was truly easy to make impacts at that distance. Nikon's Spot On Program will give you the data to use your scope reticle for BDC or the mil/moa adjustment's. The new BLACK SEries mounts are very well thought out as well. Positive lock up and available with a 20MOA base if needed. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any other question's. The BLACK X1000 MOA is currently under a Nikon sponsored promo. Check ouut some of TBH's Sponsor's to see if they can help you out.

Do you want a second focal plane of first? The glass is excellent and I do not think you can beat all you get for the price anywhere else. In 2-3 weeks the new BLACK FX1000 should be hitting stores as well.
Here's a pic of the turret's on the BLACK FX1000. First thing most folks said about this scope when looking at it was, wow!

I understand. The illumination adds to the price and I have only used it one time and that was just last weekend while hog hunting at dusk. Truly I still had plenty of light to see well enough to make a lethal shot but I wanted to utilize the illumination and it worked great even on 4. If you want a FFP scope you definitely need to check out the BLACK FX1000. It will be worth the short wait.

I had a pair of Nikon prostaff 7S 8x42 binos decide to try flying off a cliff while bear hunting last September. Did not end well for the glass! Filled out the warranty info got the label to ship it, boxed them up and dropped them off in the mail pick up at the office. Didn't realize it wasn't a prepaid label so they arrived back at my place a few days later. Put them in the truck and kept forgetting to go to the actual post office until a couple weeks ago.
But just got the email that they are sending me a full replacement free of charge! Worth the $12 in shipping for sure!
I had a similar experience with Nikon binos last year (except I dropped them in the garage). I was very impressed with their customer service.
Nikon is constantly working to improve their CS to make sure any problems are taken care of quickly and correctly.

That’s been vastly opposite of my warranty experience with them.
I took a tumble down a ravine. My binos were in my pack and they would no longer focus. Sent them in and warranty was denied due to “abuse”.
Not had that experience with Leupold the one or two times I’ve used their warranty. And as much as I feel Vortex is inferior in glass their warranty is legit.

You're well aware of the issues I had and I can't imagine it without your help (thanks again) That said I'm not convinced the replacement works as it should
