    Ruger African 275 Rigby

    I have been looking for a classic all around hunting rifle for some years now and Ruger finally made what I was looking for. Only 250 made and they have been selling fast, mine should be here tomorrow. It was made with some of the classic Rigby lines, deep blueing on the complete rifle and the red butt pad. If they only would have went back to the tang safety.

            275 Rigby? I thought all Rigby's were elephant guns. That is one beautiful rifle to be sure. I have always wanted a beautiful classic elephant rifle, maybe a double but this one might do just fine!

              275 is the British designation for the 7x57 mauser, it has killed many an elephant but it is not really an elephant round.

                275 Rigby is the same as a 7x57 Mauser. if your a fan of taking a brain shot with solids, you could take an elephant down a la WDM "Karamoja" Bell's

                  Classic vintage lines in blued steel and walnut---I'd love to have one but it would just sit in the safe these days.
