    Pig proof food plot

Built a 1.5 acre plot 42" woven wire fence a couple years ago on our property. Results were so good that we are doing another 1.5 acre plot. Not cheap or easy, but pigs grazing, rooting the plots was continuous. Now deer spend many hours day and night inside the fence. Even leaving their fawns there.
For any wondering, no pigs have crossed the fence even though there is a corn feeder inside also. Flat, sandy Leon co. ground with wire pulled tight. One barbed wire strand along the top to keep cows from leaning on it. We will put a corn feeder inside it. Then no-till plant it in oct.
Heat yesterday was intense. Long midday siesta was necessary.

Thats the way to go. I'm tired of the pigs out competing the deer.

Not good ones. Fence is not quite complete ( no barb wire on top) and won't be planted till later.
However, the spot was planted for past 20 years and should be a deer magnet now. The other woven wire fenced plot we have has deer in it every day.

I will make sure and get some photos including plot cages this winter. And some game cam photos.

Fencing Not cheap and a lot of work, but seed, fertilizer and lime are expensive too.
