    Kansas whitetail outfitter?

In my search for a big whitetail, I think my money is going to be much better spent outside of Texas to get a big free range deer with a rifle. Can anyone recommend a GOOD Kansas outfitter? I would consider other states too but theres so many options I don't even know where to begin.

I have friends in northern Oklahoma that hunt KS every year. They told me, they go to the western portion of the State, use a spotting scope to find a biggun and go knock on doors. He told me, after hunting there for 14 years, he's only been turned down once to hunt a property. He said he will spend 2 days scouting and acquire permission from 3-5 landowners to avail options. He has killed a 160+ buck every year but one and it was a 153. His FIL killed a 187. He won the coin toss. Never done it myself but they make a lifestyle out of it.

That warms my heart to think people still let you do that and regularly.

I use Call of the Wild Outfitters in Ks. Really can't say what the hunting is like during rifle season being that I hunt a couple of weeks before it opens. The rut is usually over by then.
Also, take a look at Kentucky. In the last 3 or 4 years, there's been some real bruisers taken from that state and I'm talking about 200 inchers!!!

I'd get a Colorado Eastern Plains tag and have flexibility on a huge whitetail or a huge mule deer.

I hunted with Flint Hills Adventures in Kansas and had a blast. Good thing about them is unlike most outfitters in Kansas which are a 5 day hunt, their hunts are 10 days.

I've got 2 big mule deer on my wall. I want to focus on whitetail. Never killed one over 130

I think the hunting is not once what it was in KS. Yes I still hunt there. It's just as much about hanging out with my buddies that live there now versus the hunting. I think I would focus my efforts in another state.
