Who all will be huntin the West Texas Big Bobcat Contest this year? I know it's not gonna take place for a while but I'm excited for it because it'll be the first time I'll be a part of it. A buddy of mine and I will be competing this year we've decided. We have 6 cats spotted so far and one is a hoss. I just hope the weather cooperates the day of. I don't know that I've ever called in a contest when the wind wasn't blowing so I'm prepared for it I guess.

I have a cat on our place in Oklahoma that should be close to 40# I thought it was a young doe the first time I saw him. He comes out every few days in the corner of our pasture and sprays all the trees in the corner then is off again. -

My buddy ordered a decoy that spins for the contest. I told him if I'm on the shotgun he better be ready to buy a new one. If that big cat rushes the decoy I'm gonna put some heat on him in a big way. If the decoy takes some heat too.....So be it.lolComment
